Wilson's at Belton are retiring and selling everything out after 77 years. The one last old traditional five and ten cent store. I visited there today then to Happy Cow at Ware Place. They have a dairy and sell Amish cheese and milk but it’s only pasteurized to 130 degrees. The cream still rises while the enzymes are not killed by heating milk to low temperature. Every month I get the Kingdom Digest from Dallas free of charge and for May the subject is on futurism, the rapture doctrine exposed as a fraud in Christian circles labeled futurism. The premise of these books is the rapture of the church and the rise of the Antichrist in the end times. Books of this kind sell very well. Futurism is based on a theory which is simply wrong. I cannot even remember how many preachers have used Daniel's prophecy of 70 weeks as the foundation of their futurist teachings. Daniel 9: 24-27. 70 weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy. "Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build in Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be 7 weeks, and threescore and 2 weeks; the street shall be build again, and the wall, even in troublous times”.. The Messiah was cut off in 3.5 years. This is referring to Christ ministry on earth, not the anti-christ. This has long been wrong. "And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the and thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. "And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured up on the desolate". " Scholars of the Futurist school of interpretation, sensing that Gabriel is telling Daniel of events to transcribe at the end of the age, as well as those leading to the revelation of the Messiah, have, through failure to recognize the race of the Book, resorted to what is known as the “gap" or "parenthesis" theory. She is bursting with contempt for me lashing out with such bitter manifestations. She gives me a real mean look and I am concerned for her good more than my own good.
